Artist statement:
Like many painters of the past who love art, I originally studied the paintings of my favorite masters such as Caillebotte, Chagall, de la Serna, Lautrec, Cezanne, Dufy, Monet or Picasso and appreciated their techniques, styles and colors.
Using photomontage often based on my own photographic images, I create my personal universe. I then make a sketch with the appropriate proportions and a finalized idea of what I want to convey in my painting.
New contemporary perspectives are formed from explicit sometimes complex narratives. My intention is for the viewer to experience a tribute to our existence and an awareness, perhaps somewhat utopic, of the frontiers of our future and the prospects of our culture.
